CE4-related: Adaptive Motion Vector Resolution for Affine Inter Mode
Abstract
This contribution extends Adaptive Motion Vector Resolution (AMVR) to affine inter mode, wherein one MV resolution could be selected from a set of MV resolutions. In this proposal, the motion vector resolution set includes 1/16-pel, 1/4-pel and 1-pel. Simulation results reportedly show 0.36% BD-rate saving in Random Access (RA) configuration with 2% decoding running time increase. Moreover, if AMVR is disabled in non-affine inter mode, proposed method can achieve 0.58% BD-rate saving in RA configuration with 1% decoding running time increase.
