Cu level chroma QP control for VVC
Abstract
In this proposal, CU level chroma QP control is introduced to provide finer QP control for chrominance component. First, chroma QP control is extended to blocks coded with joint coding of chrominance residuals (JCCR) mode. Second, CU level chroma QP control of HEVC range extension was extended to support chroma separate tree. QPs of each chroma CU is derived from the co-located Luma QP.
