This is cross-check report for JVET-M0483. The software package was provided by the proponent and studied. The software changes seem consistent with the description in JVET-M0483. The changes were evaluated for JVET Common Test Condition (CTC) for SDR video but with current picture referencing enabled (CPR=1). In addition to the sequences listed in CTC for SDR video the performance was evaluated for TGM 4:2:0 sequences. It is noted that the R-D data is not an exact match likely due to bugs #129, #140 reported on JVET bug tracker. However, the BD rate difference between what is reported by proponents and that obtained by the cross-checker is less than 0.03%. For low delay B BD rate difference between proponent and crosschecker is similarly negligible, except for TGM 4:2:0 set of sequences where the BD rate difference is slightly larger (average 0.15%). The performance was also cross-checked for the software after applying the fixes for the bugs #129, #140. Results for the bug-fixed software match the partial results shared by proponent.
