This contribution reports the experiment results of Test 5.1 in CE13: face row based geometry padding of reference pictures and in-loop filters using spherical neighbors. The simulation results reportedly show that, in terms of end-to-end WS-PSNR-Y/U/V, Test 5.1.a ~ Test 5.1.f, respectively, achieve the average (-2.01%/-2.33%/-2.36%), (-2.01%/-2.38%/-2.40%), (-2.02%/-2.37%/-2.38%), (-1.33%/-1.67%/-1.65%), (-1.34%/-1.69%/-1.71%) and (-1.35%/-1.66%/-1.66%) BD-rate reduction compared to PHEC with in-loop filters disabled across face discontinuities, while the seam artifacts caused by face discontinuities are also noticeably reduced.
