This contribution reports a cross-checking of contribution JVET-L0490 on HDR Coding in VVC with Backward Compatibility Options. JVET-L0490 consists of an out-of-loop mapping process performed in the YCbCr 4:2:0 domain, aiming at generating an SDR compatible content. Cross-check was performed in RA configuration, using VTM2.0.1 as anchor, as specified in CE12. The cross-checker reported that the reported objective metrics are not perfectly matched, but close, to the ones reported by the proponent. Probable reason of the mismatch is the usage of VTM2.0.1 by the proponent, instead of BMS2.0.1 configured as VTM as recommended by CE12.
