This contribution reports the cross-check results of the JVET-P0538 Method 2 (Non-CE6: Transform skip with fixed transform shift), which proposes to remove the left shifting during the inverse transform stage and corresponding right shifting in the dequantization process for transform skip blocks. The source code provided by the proponent was carefully analyzed and found to be consistent with the description in JVET-P0538. The cross-checker’s results matched with the results reported in JVET-P0538. The measured encoder and decoder runtime are similar to those in JVET-P0538.
