This contribution reports the cross-check results of the JVET-P0525 Test2(AHG18: Residual coding selection signaling for lossless VVC), which signals 1 bit syntax by reusing the transform_skip_flag in TB level to indicate the selection between residual coding and transform coefficient coding scheme for non-BDPCM modes to improve the coding efficiency for lossless coding. The source code provided by the proponent was carefully analyzed and found to be consistent with the description in JVET-P0525 Test2. The cross-checker’s results matched with the results reported in JVET-P0525.
