Crosscheck of JVET-P0373 (CE7-related: Decouple level mapping from transform skip residual coding)

Abstract
This contribution reports the cross-check results of the JVET-P0373 (CE7-related: Decouple level mapping from transform skip residual coding), which proposes to derive the Rice parameter from the mapped level value instead of the inverse mapped level value to improve CABAC throughput. The source code provided by the proponent was carefully analyzed and found to be consistent with the description in JVET-P0373. The cross-checker’s results matched with the results reported in JVET-P0373. The measured encoder and decoder runtime are similar to those in JVET-P0373.
