In this contribution, it is proposed to unify the neighbouring reference positions for MPM list construction between the MIP-based intra block and the normal intra block. It is reportedly shown that the method provides overall BD-rate by 0.00%, -0.05%, 0.00% with 100% overall encoding time and 100% overall decoding time under All Intra (AI) configuration and -0.01%, -0.05%, -0.02% with 100% overall encoding time and 100% overall decoding time under Random Access (RA) configuration. Therefore, it is recommended to adopt the proposed method.
