This document relates to the CE13 sub-experiments CE13.2.2, CE13.5.2a and CE13.5.2b. It reports the results of geometry padding and adapted in-loop filters for 360° video as proposed initially in document JVET-J0023, implemented into the VTM-3.0 software.CE13.2.2 investigates HEC with face based geometry padding of reference pictures and in-loop filters disabled across face discontinuities. Note that geometry padding is applied across discontinuous and continuous face boundaries. Compared to the CE13 PHEC anchor, CE13.2.2 obtains average Y E2E WS-PSNR BD-rate savings of 2.20% for Random Access.CE13.5.2 uses geometry padding as in CE13.2.2 and in addition also uses in-loop filters using spherical neighbors:
