Abstract
This contribution use the conventional strategy to build a 6-MPM list using five spatial neighboring blocks. However, the CABAC decoding and MPM list construction is decoupled in this contribution, thus a higher throughput CABAC decoder can be achieved. Furthermore, a macro is defined to switch on/off the alignment of RD checks with VTM 2.0.1. Experimental results of the proposed solution are as follows:
