CE3-3.1.1 : Interpolation filter selection regarding intra mode and block size

Abstract
This contribution proposes a method to select a suitable interpolation filter for intra prediction. In the proposed method, appropriate interpolation filter is selected between cubic and Gaussian filters considering intra prediction direction and the block size. In Test CE3-3.1.1, the interpolation filters in JEM were used. The simulation results reportedly show that Y BD-rate decreases 0.41% and 0.18% for VTM-AI, VTM-RA, respectively.
