Description of Core Experiment 12 (CE12): mapping functions

Abstract
The purpose of this CE is to investigate the performance of mapping for HDR and SDR content coding. The considered technologies are out-of-loop reshaping and in-loop reshaping, and related variants. The considered technologies will be compared using objective metrics and using subjective assessments to be reported by the proponents and the cross-checkers.
