This information contribution summarizes some changes in the video market we observed that happen during the past 5 years, including trends on video applications for entertainment, for work/productivity and for device collaboration. We notice that the Common Test Conditions (CTC) do not fully capture such trends of video industry development, and make some suggestions to the CTC for preparing the next generation video coding standardization.
