Non-EE2: Geometry partitioning mode with inter prediction and intra block copy
Abstract
This contribution presents a method of geometry partitioning mode (GPM) with inter prediction and intra block copy (GPM-inter/IBC). With GPM-inter/IBC, the two sub-partitions divided geometrically are predicted using inter prediction and IBC. On top of ECM-12.0, simulation results of the proposed method are reported as follows:
