JVET-AE0060 [AHG9] Comments on NNPFC [S. Deshpande (Sharp)]

JVET-AE0060 item 2 was further discussed in JVET on Friday July 14.

Some modifications are proposed to the Neural-Network Post-Filter Characteristics SEI Message. Following is proposed:

• Proposal 1: (discussed in BoG)
• Proposal 2: It is proposed to add decolourization (converting colour video to monochrome) as a new nnpfc_purpose.

It was asked why this would not be done at the encoder side

It would also be possible to use colourization, which also has three components as input, and produces an output which has zero chroma.

There was no evidence that this is needed.
