This contribution reports the cross-check of contribution JVET-AB0116: "AHG12 – Location-dependent Decoder-side Intra Mode Derivation". JVET-AB0116 proposed to determine the region of the template that mostly influences the derivation of the DIMD modes indices of the current block. Then, the blending of the predictors at a given coordinate in the current block depends on the position of this coordinate with respect to the determined region.
