This contribution reports the cross-check results for EE2-related document JVET-W0124: Templated based intra most probable modes sorting. Proponents (Qualcomm) propose to apply sorting method on intra most probable modes (MPMs) list. For each intra mode in the MPM list, the sum of absolute transformed differences between prediction and reconstruction samples of a template is computed, based on which MPMs are sorted. Provided software matches the description, and performances match proponent’s values.
