Crosscheck of JVET-S0229 (Bug fix of BDOF for high bit-depth)
Abstract
This contribution reports crosscheck results for JVET-S0229v1[1]. It is found that the software implements the specification changes in JVET-S0229 but also contains a number of other fixes. These fixes are compared to similar fixes contained in JVET-R0351. Results for JVET-S0229, JVET-R0351 and JVET-R0351 with the specification changes for JVET-S0229 are given. These results show that the gain attributed to JVET-S0229 are due to the fixes common with JVET-R0351 and not the specification changes.
