Crosscheck of JVET-Q0307 (CE4-related: Block-dimension based GEO mode selection)

Abstract
This contribution reports cross-checking results for JVET-Q0307 (CE4-related: Block-dimension based GEO mode selection) which proposes to reduce the number of GEO modes according to block dimensions. Two methods were proposed in JVET-Q0307. Method #1 reduces the per-shape GEO modes from 82 to 32 and defines a table for the list of available GEO modes of each block shape. Method #2 proposes to further reduce the per-shape GEO modes from 32 to 16. The crosschecker verified that the software implementation matches the description and the simulation BD-rate results reportedly match those provided by the proponents.
