Non-CE4: On merge list generation for geometric partitioning
Abstract
This contribution proposes to generate a merge list for geometric partitioning. The proposed method is to reorder neighboring spatial and temporal merge processes when the current block is predicted with geometric partitioning. Simulation results show that an overall luma BD-rates are 0.00%/0.03% for RA/LDB compared with common base scheme based on VTM 7.0 without running time increment.
