Crosscheck of JVET-P0340 (Non-CE4: Unification of merge interpolation filter (triangle and pairwise-average))

Abstract
This contribution reports the crosscheck results of JVET-P0340 [1], which proposes to unify the derivation of the variable hpelIfIdx (use of adaptive interpolation filter, AIF) in case of triangle merge and pairwise-average merge modes. The simulation results match with those provided in JVET-P0340.
