Crosscheck of JVET-O0342: Non-CE8: Unification of intra prediction mode of BDPCM block

Abstract
This contribution reports the crosscheck results of JVET-O0342, which proposes to store a horizontal or vertical intra prediction mode when BDPCM is performed by horizontal or vertical direction, respectively. The stored intra prediction mode can be used for the most probable mode derivation and deriving the intra prediction direction for DM mode when co-located luma block is coded by BDPCM. The software implementation as provided by the proponent of JVET-O0342 has been investigated and confirmed to be aligned with the proposal description. Simulations results are reportedly matching with the results provided by proponent of JVET-O0342.
