To remove seam artifact and improve image quality of 360 ° video, virtual boundaries signaling for in-loop filters disable across discontinuous edges was adopted in the last meeting. To signal the virtual boundaries at picture level, the number of boundaries and the position of boundaries are required in picture parameter set (PPS). In this contribution, we propose that the other methods can be considered for the simplicity and efficiency of the virtual boundaries signaling. The two methods are proposed for offset based virtual boundaries signaling and uniform virtual boundaries signaling, respectively. The proposed methods benefit into selective and simple for virtual boundaries signaling.
