Non-CE3: MIP Modifications
Abstract
This contribution proposes two modifications of matrix-weighted intra prediction (MIP) [1]. The first modification is changing the positions of the neighboring blocks to be referred deriving MIP MPM. The second modification is removing inverse mapping table which maps MIP matrix modes to regular intra modes. This contribution reports the performances on the two tests below:
