CE7-related: Golomb-Rice/exponential Golomb coding for abs_remainder and dec_abs_level syntax elements
Abstract
This contribution proposes a constant Golomb-Rice to exponential Golomb transition point unary code length for all Rice parameters and HEVC-RExt style binarization for exponential Golomb part of the abs_remainder and dec_abs_level syntax elements to limit the worst-case code length to 32 bits. The simulations results show 0.00% AI, 0.01% RA, 0.02% LB BD-Rate versus the VTM-3.0 anchor for common test conditions.
