Non-CE3: Modification of MPM derivation
Abstract
This contribution presents a modification method of most probable mode (MPM) derivation when luma reference line index is not equal to zero. It reduces number of condition checks to derive 6 MPM candidates. It is reported that the average luma BD-rate for AI and RA case is 0.05% and 0.02% compared to VTM 3.0, respectively.
