CE4-related: Control point MV offsets for Affine merge mode
Abstract
This contribution proposes to extend more Affine merge candidates based on the control points motion vectors (CPMVs) offsets of the first Affine merge candidate in the list. Extended Affine merge candidates are created with different offset directions and different offset magnitudes to the first Affine merge candidate. The proposed CPMV offset is implemented on top of Affine common code base (CE4.2.1). Compared to VTM2.0.1, -x.x%/- x.x%/- x.x% YUV-BDrate with 10x/10x% coding time change are achieved in RA condition, and -x.x%/- x.x%/- x.x% YUV-BDrate with 10x/10x% coding time change are achieved in LB condition.
