Report of results from the Call for Proposals on Video Compression with Capability beyond HEVC

Abstract
This document provides results and a description of the subjective testing (also with some objective measurement analysis) for the Joint Call for Proposals (CfP) on Video Compression Technology with Capability beyond HEVC [1]. This Call was issued jointly in final form in October 2017 by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29/WG 11 (MPEG) and ITU-T SG16/Q6 (VCEG). The subsequent work to develop a new video coding standard known as Versatile Video Coding (VVC) will be conducted by the ITU-T/ISO/IEC Joint Video Experts Team (JVET), a joint collaborative team that has been established by the parent levels of both organizations.
