This contribution reports the combined result of the following proposed intra related methods: a variable number of intra modes, modified intra mode coding, 6-tap intra interpolation filters, and extensions for LM and DM chroma modes. Simulation results reportedly show 1.22% luma BD rate saving for All Intra configuration on average.

This is a combination of D0110, D0111, D0113, D0114, and D0119, plus using a filter for planar mode (the same as currently for DC).

The luma BD rate reduction in AI/RA is reportedly 1.2/0.5%, with an encoding time increase in AI/RA of 9%/4%. Without D0110, the encoding time increase is 1%, with 0.8% rate reduction in AI.
