This is a crosscheck report on contribution JVET-AP0218: “EE1-5: operational bit-exact reproducibility”. First, the encoder and decoder have been run using a CPU-only onnx runtime. The crosscheckers report that the results match those of the proponents, both in terms of BDR results an in terms of encoder and decoder runtimes. Second, the decoder has been run using a GPU-enabled runtime. This has managed to decode the bitstreams produced in the first step without issues, and with DecT matching. Finally, the crosscheck includes a discussion on implementation aspects.
