This contribution proposes disabling the TIMD-related combinations (TIMD-ISP and TIMD-MRL). Test2.7a involves disabling the combination of TIMD and ISP (TIMD-ISP) and the combination of TIMD and MRL (TIMD-MRL) in normative way. Test2.7b involves disabling the combinations of TIMD in non-normative way. This change eliminates ineffective combinations which can reduce encoding time by decreasing the number of RDOs. Test2.7c builds upon Test2.7a by replacing the reduced RDOs with other intra modes to achieve gains without increasing EncT. Test2.7d builds upon Test2.7b by replacing the reduced RDOs with other intra modes.
