In this contribution, it is proposed to extend the regression-based GPM mode by applying TM and MMVD. For each extension (TM or MMVD), a CU-level flag is signaled to indicate whether the corresponding extension is used or not. The proposed extension was implemented on top of ECM-13.0, and it is reported that the overall performance impact is {} in RA and {} in LD.
