Cross-check of JVET-AF0111 (AHG10 : MTT split modes early termination)

Abstract
This contribution reports the cross-check of the contribution: "AHG10: MTT split modes early termination” described in JVET-AF0111. JVET-AF0111 refines the proposition in JVET-AE0057. In JVET-AE0057, on the encoder side, for a 64x64 luma CU, if its no-split cost is larger than a threshold, MTT will not be tested. As an exception, if MTT split has already been chosen in parents to this 64x64 luma CU, this early termination cannot apply. JVET-AF0111 proposes to relax the threshold value in JVET-AE0057.
