Crosscheck of JVET-AC0169 (Non-EE2: Template Matching for RR-IBC)

Abstract
This contribution reports the crosscheck results for JVET-AC0169, which proposes to extend the IBC template matching (TM) candidate list reordering to RR-IBC (reconstruction-reordering intra-block copy). In ECM-7.0, TM AMVP and TM MRG modes of IBC are applied only when the flipping mode is not used for the IBC blocks. This contribution enables the TM AMVP and TM MRG IBC candidates list reordering also for the horizontal or vertical flipping type.
